Sonny Criss Orchestra - Sonny's Dream (Birth Of The New Cool)

ビバップ期から活躍し幾多の名作を残したサックス奏者、Sonny Crissの作品。Horace Tapscottが全曲の作・編曲を手掛けた異色作にして傑作です。ディープでエモーショナルな「Sonny's Dream」、重厚で美しい「Ballad For Samuel」、躍動感のある「The Black Apostles」や「Sandy & Niles」、エキゾチックで伸びやかな「Daughter Of Cochise」など、全編素晴らしいです。Teddy Edwards、Tommy Flanagan、Everett Brownなどが参加。
